Privacy Policy

Yoakashi is built to keep your reading private. The short version: Yoakashi collects nothing. Your library and reading position stay on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
What Yoakashi stores, and where
- On your device: the comics and manga you import, the servers you configure, your reading progress, downloads for offline reading, and your app settings. This data lives in the app’s own storage on your iPhone or iPad.
- In your own iCloud (optional): if you turn on iCloud Sync, your library, reading progress, and offline list are synced through your private iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit private database) so they stay in step across your devices. This is your iCloud, not a Yoakashi server: we cannot see it, and it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
What Yoakashi does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
- No accounts or sign-in with Yoakashi.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of your data: there is no data to sell or share.
Servers you connect
If you connect your own Komga or OPDS server, Yoakashi communicates directly with that server using the address and credentials you provide, solely to show you your library. Those credentials are stored only on your device. Yoakashi does not route this traffic through any service we operate.
Network access
Yoakashi only makes network requests to the servers you explicitly configure (for example, your Komga or OPDS catalog) and to Apple’s iCloud when you enable sync. It does not contact any Yoakashi-operated server, because there isn’t one.
Children’s privacy
Yoakashi does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the content in Yoakashi is whatever you import or host yourself, please use the App Store age rating as your guide for suitability.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
